Does the IRS consider an RV a home?

Yes, the IRS does consider an RV a home if it has sleeping, cooking, and toilet facilities. Under the IRS definition, a home can be a house, condominium, cooperative, mobile home, RV, house trailer, or even a boat, as long as it meets these requirements. This means your RV can qualify as a primary or secondary residence for tax purposes.
