Austin Area Attractions

If you have come to Austin to enjoy the attractions, you are in luck! Our campground is located right by the heart of the downtown area. You will be able to enjoy a peaceful and pleasant stay away from the busy atmosphere of downtown without having to miss out on any of the attractions that make Austin so fun to visit! Your quiet camping spot will provide the perfect contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city at night, and you will love that you can get access to both kinds of experiences during your time staying with us.

If you love a good craft beer, make sure that you consider visiting Liive Oak Brewing Company, St. Elmo Brewing Company or Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom. Locations like Jeffery’s and Juniper will give you access to the fine dining experience that you might have been looking to have while you are in town. There are also various locations that offer both dining and a show if you love live music. Make sure that you consider heading to the Elephant Room or The Continental Club for food and a great musical show.

The nightlife in Austin is amazing, and you will have the choice of 250 different live music venues to visit while you are in town. Make sure that you plan to take part in this aspect of Austin’s culture while you are staying with us. You will be a short hop back to your home away from home, and it is easy to get a rideshare to pick you up and drop you off with us!

For those who love a good festival, the Austin Food and Wine Festival is a great reason to visit the area, as is the Old Settler’s Music Festival, which celebrates Americana and Bluegrass music. Fantastic Fest features sci-fi, horror, and fantasy genre films, and you will be able to choose from all kinds of different music festivals that are offered throughout the year. The Austin Marathon is also a great reason to be in town and this huge event draws in more than 200 runners from all over the world each year. No matter what kind of event you are in town to enjoy, you can make us your home base while you are here taking part.

If you love outdoor adventures, make sure that you head to the Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail and you can also check out Barton Springs Pool. There are many hikes and nature preserves all around the Austin area that you can choose to visit if you want to get some sunshine and activity in for your day. You might just want to sit at a café and enjoy the sun as well, and there are plenty of coffee places and bars where you can enjoy the nice weather and just sit quietly.

If you want to enjoy museums and other opportunities to learn about Austin in more detail, head to the LBJ Presidential Library or the Bullock Texas State History Museum. There are so many art galleries and museums as well as historical sites and learning opportunities in the heart of Austin that you could easily spend more than a day of your trip learning about the area.

If you love unique experiences, you will need to plan to join the Austin Murder Walk tour or take the Austin Haunted Pub walking tour. There are lots of walking tours that are hosted by various groups in the downtown area and all of them will show you a side of Austin that you might see otherwise. You will love being able to wander and take in the sites and scenes while also learning all about this amazing city and its history.

The best walking tours are the haunted ones, and you will love the creepy and tingly feeling that you will get as you tour older parts of the city and learn about the famous people and events that have made them well-known. You can take some of these tours on segways, which can be nice if it is hot out, but you might also enjoy getting to walk and feeling connected to the streets themselves. The Austin Mural Selfie tour is another great choice for those who want to see a lot of different places in the city during the same tour. You can also join a live music crawl to get to visit all of the city’s musical hot spots, carefully selected for you by your skilled guide.

Rent a boat or a yacht if you want to head out for some fun on the water, or rent a double-decker bus and cruise the city drinking and having fun.  Adventure lovers can go indoor skydiving while you stay as well. There are also lots of really nice golf courses in the Austin area that you can head to for some time on the driving range or play a round or two with your group. Avery Ranch Golf Club and Jimmy Clay Golf Course are two of the most popular choices for great course challenges and lovely scenery as you play. Our RV park locations are near all of these fun activities and more, and you can head out from your home away from home to enjoy these amenities with ease when you stay with us.

No matter what other plans you have besides relaxing and enjoying the nice weather here in the Austin area, you will be within reach of all of them from your camping spot. There are not many places that can offer you so many exciting things to do and see within a few minutes of a peaceful camping spot. Austin offers a unique blend of country living and city life, and many people come back to the Austin area again and again to enjoy this balanced of benefits. You can choose to be as active or as mellow as you wish during your time with us, and all of Austin will be right at your fingertips during your stay.
